Stop it now.
Stop the hair dye.
Stop the inappropriate long hair.
And stop performing so often.
You are becoming a sad cabaret act.
And cheapening your oeuvre.

I love Paul McCartney. His voice may not be quite what it was, but I still love him.

CockyPants · 28/07/2012 20:57

I used to like him too.
Until he started looking like Catherine Tate's rude nan..the jowls..
And performing his hits at the drop of a fart...

Never have ever liked him or his 'music'.

Some people don't know when to call it a day do they.

TheCrackFox · 28/07/2012 21:06

If I wanted to listen to someone singing really badly I would go and have a shower.

It is time for Paul to concentrate on writing music (or counting his money) because the performing days are over.

WillNeverGetALicence · 28/07/2012 21:16

Really he is a bit of an embarrassment...

Was Hmm to see that he was playing at the closing ceremony.

But if they really had to have him there, as an elder statesman of music [for those that actually like what he does] it would have been nice to see him 'passing the torch' or sharing the stage with one of a number of up and coming [but still recognisible for an overseas audience] stars. Adele comes to mind... perhaps they could have jointly sung a medley of Beatles and her stuff.

As it was it was just meh and a bit of an anti-climax imo.

HappyAsChips · 28/07/2012 21:16

I actually think he looks bloody good for 70 though. He may have lost it voice wise, but his music still sounds better than some of the atrocious shite in the charts these days..

Housewifefromheaven · 28/07/2012 21:17

Yanbu

SecrectFarleysNibbler · 28/07/2012 21:19

Was embarrassing - he's lost his mojo, his voice has gone :( shame for him but not right for him to take the glory moment if not up to it.

Selks · 28/07/2012 21:20

He really needs to stop. Now. Just Stop. Go and retire to the Mull of Kintyre or something.

He was beyond dire last night and spoiled the ending. I had to mute him.

Mrsjay · 28/07/2012 21:20

He is Morphing into Gillian Mc keith go on google it you will see Grin
