To be a bit glad it's not sunny today

I know the weather has been dire and I know we should all be grateful for some sun this week but, honestly, it's been too hot to do anything. Today (once I've drunk my coffee and finished MNing!) I can finally do all those jobs I've been putting off all week because it's been too hot.

Wish me luck as I take a machete to the wilderness that used to be a suburban back garden!

Here in the NorthEast it hasn't been boiling, been cloudy and a bit of rain yesterday in fact. Has perked up now, and lovely blue sky with wispy high cloud.

I actually wouldn't mind a little rain shower over the weekend, so I can pull the weeds in my border out that bit easier. Am hosting a small party for friend's 2 DC tomorrow a.m. and am thinking one of them might like the priviledge of mowing the back lawn under supervision

It's still too hot down here on the South Coast today! Not sunny, but very, very muggy.

We a off to North Wales tomorrow which definitely won't be hot and I'm looking forward to some cool weather.

I've worked nights this week and not been able to sleep in the heat, I'm fed up with it!

Not in the UK (i'm in Bavaria) but i'm really unhappy about the heat - it was 36 degrees today!! That would be OK if I was on holiday but i'm not - I still had to take my ds's to sport this afternoon.

And its to hot to sleep in the night - tempted to sleep in the basement tonight.
