I've lost 2 stone and I haven't dropped a dress size? Seriously, I've been busting my butt doing exercise and WW. I know the scales don't lie, but I am feeling quite disheartened. Grrr. Hiss.

Are you sure? Surely two stone is a couple of dress sizes?- maybe different brand, different sizing? Congratulations on your weight loss! Grin

Thanks. Its the oddest thing. Really got me down when I was shopping for some new clothes with some birthday money. I don't think I was even wearing my clothes that tight before either. Maybe everything just needs to tighten up. I am a size 20, but I have huge breasticles that haven't gotten smaller either. I'll just keep plodding along in the hope that'll just make a huge difference at some point.

How are your old clothes fitting.

I think the clothes you wear all the time stretch and grow with you a bit (if you are like me and don't buy clothes very often) so that when you go to buy new ones the same size wont normally fit - so you need to lose weight to fit in the same size... so basically you have lost weight to fit nicely into that size...

I hope that makes some sense!!

Me too!! I've lost 1st 11lbs doing slimming world but am still the same size(20). What's worse is that the 18s are still a good few inches off doing up :-(

MadCap · 26/07/2012 21:15

Makes perfect sense Chipping. It had been ages since I bought anything new and some of my old stuff is an American 18 so probably runs bigger. I was just hoping that it would've shown more. Smile

If you have huge boobies it can take ages to go down a top size. Try treating yourself to a new bra. (which you will def need if you have lost that much weight) and see how that changes your shape/ top size.

Controlpants, you and I can have our own little pity party with reduced fat biscuits and splenda in our Brew

Wilson, I did that a couple months ago and I am probably due another go. My weight loss regime started as I stopped breast feeding so then I from a 38L nursing bra to a nice-ish 36H underwire bra. It made a massive difference to how I looked.

It's such a pita though when you're losing as fast as you are and you only get a couple of months wear out of each bra!

bejeezus · 26/07/2012 21:27

I think an American 18 is an English 22 isn't it??

MadCap · 26/07/2012 21:33

I'm not sure bejeeszus, but I'm off to the States again in August so will probably get more new things there which will be kinder to my bank balance and my ego.
