Dh has been bitten on the leg and has classic signs of cellulitis. If I hadn't read on here about how nasty it can get and how quickly it can spread, I wouldn't have insisted on him ringing the out of hours gp, and it could have been very bad.
I also had the immense satisfaction of being proved correct when I told him to ring right NOW as he has been packed off to see the gp within 30 minutes, he was insistent that it was nothing, I took one look, dialled local care direct and they told him he needs seeing urgently.
I didn't like to point out that anyone with a shred of common sense would realise that a leg with a swelling from mid shin to mid foot which is dark red and slightly oozy as a result of 2 mosquito bites probably needs medical attention.......
