Selfish, self centred, greedy, manipulative, vindictive little tyrants.

So shera04 what would be your superduperohsofucking marvelloso thread title be then? Hope it's more exciting than your boring username.

DaydreamDolly · 15/07/2012 20:31

My 3 yr old is obsessed with toilet humour. Apparently I am getting, in her words, 'poo poo from my bottom' as my birthday present next week. I was so hoping for a handbag.

Lol at the selective hearing.

Mine has been up since 530 am and is on his 45 minute of being returned to bed. I fear my husband might be about to explode. I'm stupidly grateful for the cluster feeding baby pinning me to the sofa so I don't have to see him again tonight!

Dolly I'd be on the lookout for a 'gift' inside that handbag if I were you! Wink

PissyDust · 15/07/2012 20:34

Oooh pigle, don't mess with your words now will you? Grin

you mean it gets worse than 2? Shock

2.9 yo here who is being utterly atrocious at the moment. after a morning-long tantrum today he refused lunch, refused most of dinner, asked for biscuits instead, then tantrummed his way to bed. If he gets much worse there won't be room for meal refusal between the tantrums Hmm

dappply · 15/07/2012 20:47

Two was like sharing my house with one of those winged cherubs in an old italian painting in comparison.

YANBU my 3year old is a nightmare. He's worse now because he's tired, but he just will not go to sleep.

QuintessentialShadows · 15/07/2012 20:52

I would love to have a 3 year old again. When my 7 and 10 year old are in their twenties, and I am also in my twenties!

Hmm

Not sure this is possible....

Kveta · 15/07/2012 20:58

:o :o dappply

DH and I are weeping now, we were pinning our hopes on an improvement come september!

TuttoRhino · 15/07/2012 21:02

My 3.1 year old seems to have developed new found maturity after turning 3. Does this mean she's bound to backslide sometime soon? Poo jokes haven't started here yet either, so much to look forward to it seems.

dappply · 15/07/2012 21:16

The best thing about three year olds is the illicit thrill that you get from inappropriately but routinely referring to your darling first born as "cunto" whilst talking to your husband. ( makes mental note to break that habit before talking to child's nursery or grandparents)

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 15/07/2012 21:18

Don't get any better aged 4. I do however love mine to bits. Even when she's being impossible...

Goldenbear · 15/07/2012 21:29

'Cunto'?? You sound a charm, maybe he's picking up on your apparent hatred of him (tongue and cheek mind)!

OAM2009 · 15/07/2012 21:35

YANBU, 1 x 3.5 and 1 x 2 here.

YYY to the selective hearing.

If DS1 calls me "Mummy Doggy" and I do not respond by calling him "Little Baby Doggy", he will not speak to me.

If he says "I want to watch Mike Tonight" (Mike the Knight) one more time......

.....I'll just cuddle him till he snaps! Wink

(and yes, vicious little bastards, you should see them at soft play!!!!)

EchoBitch · 15/07/2012 21:39

Gotta love 'em.

It all goes so quickly.

MissPricklePants · 15/07/2012 21:43

My 3.2 year old dd has been a joy today, minimal whinging and well behaved so op YABU!! But her behavior and general attitude is very stroppy, She is still fab though despite being harder work than when she was going through the 'terrible twos'.

DontEatTheVolesKids · 15/07/2012 21:43

At least 3yos are sweet.
Whereas 4yos think it's great fun to wind you up, and make every punishment into a game. Sigh.

dappply · 15/07/2012 21:44

As I said, inappropriate. But funny ( in a blitz spirit kind of way) but obviously not to you!
Made me giggle today though.

I don't actually hate my three year old you daft idiot. I'm just venting after a difficult day ( or 20 ) At strangers. On internet. X

Meglet · 15/07/2012 21:46

yanbu.

DD does the deliberate winding me up. Her big brother was hard work but she has taken it to stratospheric levels. It's very hard to stay one step ahead of her.

(she is cute sometimes).

Meglet · 15/07/2012 21:48

kveta 2 is just preparing you for 3 & 4.

5 (ie; school age) is a little more bearable IME.

nocakeformeplease · 15/07/2012 21:52

OAM2009 I feel your pain. I spend half my life pretending to be a mummy dinosaur/kangeroo/goldfish and like yours is most indignant if I call him by his real name. Sometimes I have to be the baby and then I get in trouble for not talking like a baby!

From 0-3 I have loved every stage a bit more than the last...until now! He has an answer for everything...

Having said that he is great fun and is still my little cuddle monster (when it suits him!)

Goldenbear · 15/07/2012 21:57

Actually I think it's really sad to call your 3 year old a 'cunto', really distasteful, if that makes me an idiot then so be it!

Ample · 15/07/2012 21:59

Really? YABU. Have a look over on the bereavement board.

Of course, if you're not so serious, then just repeat 'this too shall pass' SmileWink
