To prefer spending time with my dog than my DC?

I absolutely love my children (18 months, 4 & 6) but I have realised that I prefer walking the dog, on my own in peace rather than taking them out for the day.... I find them very hard work and although I have DH around a lot as he works from home I just can't seem to cope with my children - they aren't even particularly badly behaved. We don't get any time away from them (apart from eldest who is at school and middle at pre school 4 morning a week), my only time is in the evenings or when I'm walking the dog, what the hell is wrong with me?!?

Nothing.

You just need that space to have a bit of time to yourself and keep yourself sane.

I am exactly the same!

Yanbu.
My dogs walk has slowly grown in length and now spans, tea-time, bath-time and bed-time. Grin
I love my kids But It's great to get out without the kids and have some peace and quiet and de-stress.
