nosleepwithworry · 14/07/2012 16:08

I wanted to invite strangers in off the street to admire my first ever dishwasher Grin

McHappyPants2012 · 14/07/2012 16:08

Sparklingbrook · 14/07/2012 16:09

A virgin washing machine that has never seen a muddy goalkeeper kit. Envy

nosleepwithworry

Did you charge the strangers for the performance?

berri · 14/07/2012 16:12

Jealous. Up there with a brand new oven......aaaaahhhhhh I'd love either!

SoleSource · 14/07/2012 16:13

YABU washing machines are hard work. Collect the clothes, shove them in, put the expensive powder in etc. Makes noise, wait for door to open, take out clothes thare DAMP, hang to dry tumble dry

Cothes are the problem here

I vote we all live naked so therefore YADNBU too [confused.com]

puds11 · 14/07/2012 16:15

I got mine yesturday and i was so excited i dedicated a day to washing. Now that is sad!

RandomMess · 14/07/2012 16:22

Nah it's not sad, it's us appreciating the labour saving devices that are now available to the human race in the economically fortunate countries.

Anyone else remember the hard work of twin tubs, and goodness hand washing with a mangle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

McHappyPants2012 · 14/07/2012 16:28

Twin tubs never made sense, tiny spinner compared to a big drum

Sparklingbrook · 14/07/2012 16:34

And the huge wooden tongs that I chased my brother around with. Grin

catgirl1976 · 14/07/2012 17:13

For added excitement, why not sit atop it whilst it judders through its first cycle? :)

KittyFane1 · 14/07/2012 19:40

LottoQueen · 14/07/2012 21:08

Sunnywithachanceofshowers · 14/07/2012 22:25

I'd never had a dishwasher until I met DH. When I moved in and it broke, I couldn't wait to order a new one.

Johnnydeppsnewmrs · 15/07/2012 01:13

I love my dishwasher, it sadly needed a part replacing that we couldn't afford, so it sat unused and empty for nearly a year Sad. Then we managed to get it fixed, and it has been bliss ever since.

I was so excited when my DH finally grouted my floor, I mopped it twice for fun Wink.
