I posted my twin sons passports on 18th June 2012, via post ofice check and send, after 2 weeks i decided to track passport status. On doing so i find out that passports have been put on hold due to a letter being sent to countersignatures work place as part of extra security checks. This was sent on the 1st July and recieved by the on the 5th July and they can take up to 10 days to proces this .. taking it to the 18th July it then has to be returned put in front of the examiner and then printed and sent back ??? The problem I have is we have booked a holiday for the 29th July and i am petrified they are not going to be back in time ... I understand security checks but whats with the delay in sending them they had 2 weeks what was they doing with them in that time? I am beside myself with worry and untill they even have the passports countersignature back there is nothing i can do :(
