DS is 4, had a call from a friend yesterday to say her DD has CP. We met up on Sunday. DS started with a temp last night and still this morning and has not wanted to eat anything yet this morning. He is off nursery because of this.

Assuming his temp is down and he seems fine on Monday, WIBU to send him back to nursery as normal? NHS website says spots can take 10-21 days after exposure to develop and are most contagious before they show, so should I keep him off until after this time?

I am also 20 weeks pg but am pretty sure I had CP as a child (my brother thinks so too but my dad can't remember). NHS website says if you haven't had it to contact GP (presumably for blood test and vacc) but if you have you should be fine.

So AIBU for me and DS to carry on as normal until/unless any spots appear?
Saw a thread yesterday where prem twins were exposed so poss feeling a bit more cautious about it that I otherwise would have been...

As you have been in contact with it and your not sure about your own immunity I would phone the GP about yourself.

I would keep DS in while he is showing signs of being poorly but if fine by Monday send him in.
