You shouldnt delete all their stuff off it, then claim you thought they would probably have it on their computer so wouldnt need it on the memory stick anymore.

Oh FFS - I can't believe he was daft enough to do that, cheeky sod!

50ShadesOfGreggs · 10/07/2012 19:00

I'd be pretty fuming. To be fair I don't lend memory sticks out though for this reason!

ZeldaUpNorth · 10/07/2012 19:24

I borrowed my brother sd card and took all his stuff off and put it on the pc, when i'd finished what i needed it for i deleted my stuff and put his back on. I'd never delete someones stuff :/

Vagaceratops · 10/07/2012 19:26

The stuff wasnt backed up. I lent it to him like that.

Its not backed up because I did it on a different PC (preschool).

What the hell? I'd be absolutely furious.

Spatsky · 11/07/2012 09:54

YANBU at all, I would be angry, although my husband would also tell me it was my fault for not backing up before giving him the stick.

I was disappointed though because I thought the second half of the title was going to be "you shouldn't give it back with porn on it" so the actual post was a let down.

DowagersHump · 11/07/2012 09:59

Isn't the point of the memory stick to act as a back up?

I would be really cross too. Why did he delete all your files?

AThingInYourLife · 11/07/2012 10:04

If you didn't need it on the stick any more, presumably you would have deleted it yourself.

YANBU
