I'm applying to do a Teaching Assistant course.

I need to prove I have GCSE (or equiv) in Maths and English. Now I took my O'Levels 31 years ago and goodness knows where my original certificates are.

BUT I do have my Degree and my Master's Certificates. However, they will not do; I need to somehow find proof of my O'Levels, (bit tricky as my school has since closed down as has the exam board I took them with).

What I find bonkers/sad/amazing is, that they are needed because it is apparently possible to take a degree without having a GCSE in either maths or english Shock

Am I alone in this?

Yeah, then they want £30+ per exam certificate!
