AIBU about theatre performances

The amateur theatre which I help run are putting on George's Marvellous Medicine next Easter. I have said that we should have a 2pm and 5pm show on Easter Monday rather than shows at 8pm on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The others on the team have said 8pm is fine as it is the holidays. AIBU to think that most parents will not bring children out to see a show that finishes around 10pm even if it is the holidays.

It's customary to have a matinee performance, and benefits those with younger kids that want to maintain their evening bedtime routine.

So I think YANBU to suggest this and think you should persist with trying to get the rest of them to agree.

YANBU. How strange!

Thank you Sleepy. Just to clarify - there would one matinee on the Saturday after anyway but the Monday ones would be in place of the ones on Tuesday and Wednesday night.

YANBU. I think most people would appreciate a matinee performance on a bank holiday.

yanbu!

what's the age group for the piece?

I'd agree that earlier times are far better, but 5pm might be a bit tricky, as that's 7pm finish and then getting home etc... when do they eat tea/go to bed?
