Went on a school trip today, got back late and told the teacher I was taking dd straight off. All good so far. Went to the shop to buy chocolate and when I got back I had a missed call from the school with no message. The call came through at ten to five and I called back at 5 o'clock and it went straight through to voicemail.

I'm now sat here with said chocolate and wine puzzling what the call was about I know it will turn out to be mundane so I'm having fun before reality resumes. So gimme your best guesses

I am assuming you had your daughter with you when you went for wine and chocolate? You hadn't left her on the bus or anything?

Grin

You left your MN scarf on the bus, is really what it is about.

Diet guru person has spies and wanted to know why you were buying chocolate!!

MammaTJ · 05/07/2012 18:26

Sorry, just read call was from school.
Hmm!!! Child has left something there?

Marymaryalittlecontrary · 05/07/2012 18:30

Were you helping on the trip? My guess is that another parent has called and said his/her child has lost a lunchbox/hair band/purse etc and they're phoning all the helpers to see if anyone picked it up.

Nothing left on coach I checked as we were the last off. Yes had dd with me no way to forget her lol.

Diet guru may be close I was winding up the dieting teacher scoffing hot dogs and ice cream :D

That sounds likely Mary. Or I'm in trouble for telling the brats angels off

If you were on the trip it could have been about another child. Were there any incidents?

stargazer83 · 05/07/2012 18:48

Apart from a teacher having to borrow a childs change of clothes after getting soaked or a boy having to wee in a bucket on the bus there were no incidents that I know of.

Perhaps I did such a good job they want to offer me a job? Or failing that send me for psychological testing because I keep going on the trips?

Nah - it'll just be that your DD's name wasn't ticked off some master list, as you were separate from the main parental handover. They were about to either bollock you, or shit themselves (depending on where DD was/wasn't) when the teacher you spoke to turned up and said she'd authorised it all.

stargazer83 · 05/07/2012 18:58

Your all so logical its no fun lol. I like Tee's answer

Probably going to ask you to pick up chocolate for them.
