I am ill. I have man flu. Or possibly bubonic plague.

I went to tesco for paracetamol.

How did i manage to spend £74.38 when it should have cost 16p?

What?
What?

What?

WHAT?

CrustyBurd · 05/07/2012 10:54

Did you get juice, bubble bath, comfort food etc etc?

GrahamTribe · 05/07/2012 10:54

Grin I do this all the time. I pop into the local shop for a newspaper and come out with £30 worth of crisps groceries. It's comfort food, isn't it?

Get well soon. :)

Convert · 05/07/2012 10:55

I'm guessing it wasn't the paracetamol but the balmy tissues, tunes, chocolate, dvd, crisps, dips, ice cream etc to cheer yourself up!

elliejjtiny · 05/07/2012 10:55

Did you get overcharged or did you end up buying other stuff that you didn't mean to?

thisisyesterday · 05/07/2012 10:55

that happens to me a lot!

i went into Waitrose for tofu wieners and licorice tea and came out with £56 worth of groceries, plus what we spent when we had to go to the cafe because DS3 bashed his face on the trolley and the lovely lady took us there for free coffee and juice (and then i had to buy us both cake)

LoveAndOtherIndoorSports · 05/07/2012 10:56

I did get a selection of stuff for a birthday present.

And some juice.

And some booze just in case i recover.

But still £74??????

By the way, it probably is bubonic plague and you will most probably die. Slowly. Grin

thisisyesterday · 05/07/2012 10:57

LoveAndOtherIndoorSports · 05/07/2012 10:58

I went into Sainsburies to buy some buns and spent £40 the other day. How does that hapen every time?

Petsinmypudenda · 05/07/2012 11:02

I prefer cream cakes to kitten treats when am sick but everybodys different...

SchrodingersMew · 05/07/2012 11:03

Love I hope you feel better soon, I am also in bed all ill but I think if I could actually get to Tesco I'd probably be able to spend that on comfort food. :o

Better to go to Asda when you feel crap, they have Hersheys chocolate and Reece's cups.

Trills · 05/07/2012 11:04

Are the kittne treats to encourage the kittens to come and snuggle up to you?

Dawndonna · 05/07/2012 11:04

This is one of the reasons I have my milk delivered. The milk is more expensive than supermarket milk, but I don't get conned guided through to the furthest possible point picking up ten ton of crap along the way! We worked it out when we started doing this and reckon to be saving around thirty quid a week!

TantrumsAndBalloons · 05/07/2012 11:07

I thought you spent £74 on actual paracetomol

TantrumsAndBalloons · 05/07/2012 11:10

Although I went to Tesco for dog food and came out with a trolley full of crap booze stuff that cost £97.

My DH was quite surprised when I got home and told him to help me unload the car, he thought I had bought a car load of dog food.

JustFabulous · 05/07/2012 11:14

Vick's First Defence at the first flutter of a cold. Works. Brilliantly. (not helpful for OP I know)

Toast with garlic butter made freshly with LOADS of garlic in. The smell clears your pipes and the antiseptic action kills the cold germs. Plus you can't smell your own breath so you don't care about the garlic breath!

You can buy the garlic when you are going for the refund. Tell us how much the refund ends up costing you, will you? Grin
