the phrase 'opening a can of worms'? Am I just weird?

On reflection, yes (to the weird bit).

RackandRuin · 03/07/2012 14:05

I think you are. Don't you just imagine a tomato soup tin full of fat wiggly worms. (shudder)

VolAuVent · 03/07/2012 14:09

YABU. Yeuch!

MAYBELATERNOWIMBUSY · 03/07/2012 15:29

unlikely but bet you stew in your own juice(could be interesting !) for that post

fotheringhay · 03/07/2012 15:35

I'm glad it makes you happy.

I have an irrational love of the word Peebles. How I'd love to live in Peeblesshire

Mandy2003 · 03/07/2012 15:36

I've always called it a can of hornets! I love mixed metaphors. Moth-eared (a cross between moth-eaten and dog-eared) is one of my favourites courtesy of exP, and DS coined the magical phrase "It's a bit clawful..." on being presented with a tame Kestrel to hold.

a colleague, knowing i think in pictures, would often throw into the conversation the phrase 'a bellyfull of worms'! she did it on purpose, knowing i would see an abdomen oozing, writhing, squirming, slithering worms...

complexnumber · 03/07/2012 17:53

How about a 'bottom full of worms'?... Or have I just taken it too far?

lovebunny · 04/07/2012 21:31
