Just read the rice AIBU and having a sulk. I have a nut allergy so a take out like this is not very safe,

Now I know there are much worse things in life but I just want a nice take out chinese meal.

Sulk over, M & S used to do one bu think it had a warning on now, and its not the same anyway.

Please don't do it. I know a young man of 17 who died very recently from eating a takeaway - they had changed the type of oil they used.

There are better things in life than takeaways!

takeaway more often than not is a let down. And overpriced. Honestly! Can you work out what you're craving and find a supermarket ready meal or even jar sauce which is safe for you?

YANBU to be pissed off that you don't have the option but it's really not worth the risk.

If you like Indian, Madhur Jaffrey's recipes are easy to follow and produce yummy food - why not "batch cook" then portion it to have in the freezer so you can pull out your own "takeaway" when you fancy it?

OhNoMyFanjo · 02/07/2012 01:50

You just need someone else to cook it for you, they could even put it in tge foil trays, is bound to be nicer Grin

OhNoMyFanjo · 02/07/2012 01:51

Is there a nice restaurant tgat delivers? Make friends and they will do whatever you like.

Thanks everyone, lots of ideas. Guess I'll have to work on my cookery skills!

ImperialBlether Sad When I hear things like that it reminds me not to get complacent.

YANBU there is nothing nicer than picking up the phone then 30 minutes later dinner arrives! There are some good suggestions on here of ways around it - but don't take any risks, its just not worth it.

Waitrose and sainsburys do a great allergy free takeaway option

Curry
Chilli con carne
Tagineaunr something else

Add a microwave rice that is suitable and you are halfway there
