AIBU to have just bought this book to find out what all the fuss is over?

I read the review on Woman mag in the salon. Even they thought it was rubbish!

I didn't like it but my inner goddess says she enjoys any badly written erotica immensely..........

(I had to read certain passages 2 or 5 times to make sure I really didn't like it)

Read it or don't read it. I probably won't unless it comes free with a magazine.

I have never heard of this book nor seen any thread about it on MN.

Ah well. I'm obviously not spending enough time on MumsNet.

Anyway, why 50 shades of grey? Why not more? Or less? (A lot less, as far as I'm concerned...)

My 75 year old mother told me she just bought it. Is it porn then??

I haven't read any reviews or even the blurb on the back and only know the vague jist its supposed to be a bit kinky which isn't normally my thing but having seen so many people talking and posting about it absolutely bloody everywhere I just can't help but be intrigued.

She said it was sold out everywhere in town so had to buy it on her kindle so thought it must be good. She asked in all the shops for it apparently. does that mean they thought she was porn shopping!

I was dithering about whether to buy it or not but have been swayed against by the sheer number of posts on here about the unhealthy nature of the relationship between the main characters and the crap writing. Frustratingly, however, it has made me curious about this genre of "literature" so I am now searching for something that I will
enjoy (obviously for the quality of the writing alone )
