Do caravans have to be taxed?

AdoraBell · 29/06/2012 14:21

Depends if the houses in the street have any kind of covenant restricting the parking of caravans. Some do, some don't. Also depends if you plan to park it their permanently or just a day or two to sort out.

It will be fine. As long as cars and pedestrians can get past it then I wouldn't worry. Enjoy your holiday :)

Our old house had a covenant stating that no caravans or commercial vans should be parked on driveways or in the road.

Didn't stop our neighbour leaving his rusty old broken down caravan on his drive for 6 months or our other neighbour parking his double glazing van in the road blocking part of the entrance to our drive!

I wouldn't worry for one night , you would have to have some seriously intolerant neighbours for anyone to complain.

MAYBELATERNOWIMBUSY · 03/07/2012 20:53

caravans do not have to be taxed only vehicles with an engine can be taxed (at present) nor do they have to be inspected (mot"d) think about that !

If it insured check your policy in case of any damage sustained.

It's there for one night. Anyone that complains about it is in serious need of an actual life.

Have a fab holiday.

We aren't allowed to where we live, it's written in the deeds thingy
