Nanny Share in w4-w5 area?

I have been offered a nanny share position and just wondering what is the current £/net/hour in this area for this position? Obviously my tax has to be paid etc and I don't want to ask for too much or too less. At the moment I am a full time nanny and I get £10/hour/net + tax on top of that/but family doesn't need me as kids going to start school from Sept/ so I thought £12/hour is kind of good for looking after 2 same aged children at the same time.... please help!!! Thanks

Is that £12 net or gross you're suggesting?

Why are you posting this in AIBU?

Aninanny · 23/06/2012 23:33

sorry! where shall i post it? £12 net

I think £12 net is too high quite frankly.
You are not live-in then?

Why are you upping your take home by 20%?

On the childminders and nannies section. New to MN? If so, go to all topics and you'll find it there under childcare (I think). Report your post and ask for it to be moved to the right section :)

Not sure on the wage, but you want to be talking gross really. Slightly higher than the wage for one family sounds about right though.

Ah, I'm guessing you got directed to MN via an AIBU thread then? Grin

There is a whole section for about childcare/childcarers, lots of knowledgeable people there :)
