Ok, Help me with these chickens.

How long should I cook two 1500g chickens together?

Just saw your unanswered thread. I can only do pounds and ounces. 20 mins per pound plus 20 mins over. If you are cooking them together inthe same pan that is 2 hrs 20 to 40 mins.
If you put them in separate pans that is 1hr 20 mins ish.
Put them in on high, 220C for the first 20 mins, then turn down to 180C.
Or aga/rayburn roasting oven on top shelf.
No idea what gas setting that is.
Cover in foil until last half hour.
Check that the juices between the thigh and breast are clear, not bloody.
Cover with foil for at least 20 mins after cooking to allow juices to redistribute.

Rub skin with salt, pepper, thyme, lemon and olive oil before cooking, makes lovely flavour. And stick the squeezed lemon half inside the bird.

Thank you both so much, I have put them on for 2 hours with foil on. I am going to take the foil off and put then on for another 20 mins. I shall see how they look.
