Happy Father's Day Husband. Why would you send that?

NoKnownAllergies · 17/06/2012 18:45

Because you have lost a child and sadly they cannot send a card themselves?

Your husband may still be a father.

greenbananas · 17/06/2012 18:47

because you are pregnant?

mamalovesmojitos · 17/06/2012 18:48

Because the baby can't go out and buy one themselves?

PurplePidjin · 17/06/2012 18:48

I nearly got dp a Happy Father's Day From The Bump card.

Then I overruled the hormones.

I assume the Husband thing is for people who's children are too young to write.

Happy Father's Day from the Dog made me Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 17/06/2012 18:48

I'm not sure 'Happy' Fathers Day would be appropriate though would it? I thought from someone who was pregnant maybe?

Mrsjay · 17/06/2012 18:50

I guess people give happy mothers day Grandma cards or to somebody who is like a mother to me cards I have seen to my wife on mothers day cards i did find it a bit odd but its just slushy sentimental cards no biggie really,

JamieandTheOlympicTorch · 17/06/2012 18:52

because you want to say thankyou for their love and support towards your children and you?

manchester00 · 17/06/2012 18:53

I think from the bump cards are fine although I never did it. Or sending Father's day cards on behalf of young dc but they would still be dad/daddy cards.
Hadn't though about deceased angle.

I haven't ever seen those cards, and would probably not buy them, but I can see some would.

usualsuspect · 17/06/2012 18:53

Because you love your husband and sending him a card is a nice thing to do?

Staceisace · 17/06/2012 18:54

People were posting 'Happy Father's Day' as tweets earlier as though they were saying Merry Christmas. Haha!

usualsuspect · 17/06/2012 18:54

I wouldn't send one tbh, but other people are free to do what they like.

Hulababy · 17/06/2012 19:04

I don't do Father's Day cards for grandparents and other relatives - bar dads.

FirCough · 17/06/2012 19:15

Never understand why the need to have "Happy Whatever Brother/Mother/Husband/whatever" type cards. They already know they're your brother or mother or whatever.

"Happy (whatever the occasion is)" is quite sufficient.

If I was in charge, all cards would be "blank for your own greeting" anyway.

Spartak · 17/06/2012 19:20

There was happy fathers day from the cat cards in Asda today. In fact that was nearly all that they had left, which should probably tell them something.
