That's the reason they do it, because you get posters who take it too seriously/literally and leave the OP, who came on for a bit of banter and entertainment, seriously questioning their parenting choices.

I just saw your thread after I'd posted Scotch, it's a sensible precaution when you're posting in AIBU

I've started lighthearted ranty threads a few times and been told what a nasty mother/DIL/sister I am for thinking that way.

So, guess what, I have stopped posting nearly as many new threads as I did before. I can't be the only one?

I prefer to see the lighter side of life.

To be fair, if I ever saw a dog wearing a fur coat I would be very angry.

I started the one about insults in Chat :o

I added (lighthearted) cos I didn't intend for it to be a thread about EA and soul destroying insults etc It worked and take posts have kept me very entertained :o
