AIBU to dis-invite cousins from Disneyland

...at least they'd feel that way when they found out that MIL was coming with us - and will have a big spare bed in her room.

(I know I'm double posting - but my first attempt was too boooring to get any replies!)

I think you're saying you're proposing to tell them they can't come, and then when you tell them they are coming, they won't be bothered about having to stay in your MILs room when they go?

Is that right?

I'm not doing well phrasing today!!

We'd love MIL to come - but I'm worried about the cousins crestfallen little faces when they realise they aren't invited.

We've taken them on hols before & MIL babysits for them a lot, so their first assumption would be that they're invited. Hence they'd feel disinvited , iyswim Hmm .

So long as you don't ask your MIL about it right in front of them, it's not really your responsibility to explain why they aren't going.

It's nice you're thinking about them though.
