To not have got out of bed yet?

DH went to work around 6am, due back around 7pm.

DSs, 11 and 8, perfectly happy pottering around. dS1 has been lying in bed with me for half the morning watching TV, even offered to make me an egg sandwich and cup of tea so really no need to get out of bed!

I can't take them out today as I had an operation a little while ago and still not driving or walking far. No arguments between them, happy now playing Xbox and watching tv.

I just feel like I should get up though, do I really have to??

Right so if random strangers on the internet tell you to get up, you're actually going to?

Nutter! Grin

Trioofprinces · 16/06/2012 13:54

If I had the option, I'd still be in bed too.

inchoccyheaven · 16/06/2012 13:56

Nope not unreasonable at all. I woke at 10.15 and stayed in bed until 11.15 as had stomach ache. Got up to unload dishwasher etc and was sick so after unloading dishwasher went back to bed and have only just got back up now.

My boys are similar age to yours and have had friends show up and have now disappeared to someone elses house.

If they are happy everything else can wait so enjoy the rest.

I was going to say YABU but since you're not quite right yet, YANBU. Order some chocolate from room service next!

Trioofprinces · 16/06/2012 14:02

Haven't got any chocolate in but if I have the kids money, I'm sure they'd pop to the corner shop! (Before anyone starts the 8yo is not allowed to the shops on his own!!)
Tempting...

Good for you. Can't help feeling this is less AIBU more showing off. Wink

Trioofprinces · 16/06/2012 14:08

Wasn't intended as a show off, more wondering if I should be a better mum and get up.

My son and I are still in our pj's, and will be for the rest of the day Grin

Buntingbunny · 16/06/2012 14:37

Not unreadable at all.
I only got up and went out in the pouring rain because DD1 needed my taxi services.

The roads are like a river, bed is a very good lace to be.

Buntingbunny · 16/06/2012 14:38

I typed unreasonable, I'm sure I did.

Auto correct is bloody unreasonable!
