..someone tells me if Michael makes it out of the coffin?
Bought this for my kindle having heard the author praised on Mumsnet. But I can't bear to read a whole book with this poor block slowly suffocating, unless he's going to be alive at the end!
Anyone help?

No - you have to read it. And then the other Roy Grace books - you're missing out.

igggi · 15/06/2012 15:26

So he does die then? Sad

Stick with it. I started reading it on my own in a hotel one night and had to stop until I got home as I was really worried... I'm now hooked on Roy Grace!

peachypips · 15/06/2012 19:01

I'll tell you if you pm me! Don't want to spoil!

peachypips · 15/06/2012 19:01

In sympathy as I also like to know if I'm going to enjoy the book!

ElectricSoftParade · 15/06/2012 19:14

YABU to want to know. Just keep reading Smile.

YANBU to read the Roy Grace books. I met The Lovely Mr James at one of his booking signings and I simpered at the man. I am still ashamed and don't know what came over me. I do not, as a rule, simper.

igggi · 15/06/2012 20:15

Oh you are a strict lot! Well I have now read the last page of the book, so I think I know what is to come!
It's not that I don't want to read a detective story with some dead people in it (par for the course) but I don't want to listen to some poor sod gradually asphyxiating for several hundred pages..
So there are lots more by this author? and not all involving being buried alive I do like a prolific author!

OMG - you read the last page of a book.........cardinal sin..........I bet you fold pages over and crack spines as well [shudder].

Peter James has written loads - there are some stand alone more spooky ones apart from the Roy Grace series.

igggi · 18/06/2012 09:02

Yup, I do all that Grin
Have realised I can't post whether I read the book or not, as would give away the ending to anyone looking at the thread - so I can never say!

Ive just finished the lastest Peter James and Mumsnet gets a mention!

Skelacia · 18/06/2012 14:45

I LOVE the Roy Grace series, it's nice to read a police procedural in a British accent (if that makes a lick of sense!)

I am waiting for the new one to drop a little in price before I buy it. In much the same way Primark has ruined me for paying proper clothes shop prices, my Kindle has ruined me for full price books! Jack Reacher excepted Blush
