DD was watching Jack? Jake Whitesomething on his tour of England. When he got to Newcastly he said something about canny fanny. It became her catchphrase for a couple of days.

I used to love that Irn Bru ad with the family singing "Everyone in the world loves Irn Bru" and suddenly the mum sings "even though I used to be a man". It ended with a shot of her shaving and whistling. It still makes me smile just thinking about it!!

They have had some great adverts! When I run a mega corporation I'm getting whatever agency that do the Irn Bru ones in!

The word 'fanny' has such comedy value doesn't it?

On the A40 past Witney there used to be a sign on the side of the Fabulous Baking Boys (IIRC) factory saying 'Our muffins are as moist as Fanny's'
