Just that really.

I cant stand the one in the white coats stupid gurning face and the other ones 'so wooden he could pass as wardrobe' acting...

So aibu?

I quite fancy one of them. Blush

Why am I admitting this?

One of them (I think the one with the white coat) reminds me of The Hoff...but yeah it is rubbish.

WhispersOfWickedness · 14/06/2012 09:42

DS (2.6) really objects to it, he actually cried yesterday and begged me to switch it off Confused

Firawla · 14/06/2012 09:44

The animal character with the long nose (not sure what it is?) makes me feel sick
Shame as they could have made something good on a rhyming theme but I dont think its been done well. reminds me of space pirates which also makes me feel sick!

TheOneWithTheHair · 14/06/2012 09:48

I love Space Pirates. Rhyme Rocket is a pile of poo though. Ds2 (3) hates it too.

inneedofsanity · 14/06/2012 10:20

YANBU. caught the end of it yesterday with DS (2) it was rubbish!

inneedofsanity · 14/06/2012 10:21

Now Horrible Histories on the other hand...
Mmmmm!

HoldMeCloserTonyDanza · 14/06/2012 10:47

It sort of creeps me out a bit. I just feel a bit unsettled and pissed off by it.

The Clangers used to do the same. Likewise Abney and Teal. It's like there's something within the internal universe/logic of the show that just doesn't agree with me.

On the other hand then you have something like Big and Small or Show Me Show Me and I just GET it, the characters are sweet and fun and the stuff they get up to makes sense.

I realise the above makes me sound like a complete weirdo!

wilderumpus · 14/06/2012 12:12

it is utter shit. It makes me cringe, physically cringe - the rhymes grate, the men are gurning twats and the set is shite.

My DS (2.5) loves it :(

love abney and teal!

YANBU. I searched mumsnet for a thread as I just knew there'd be others out there who feel the same as I do.

The whole set up of the programme feels very dated (almost 80's/90's), the show just doesn't seem to make any sense (although I've yet to make it through an entire episode without having to switch over/leave the room) and I've no idea what age group it's meant to be aimed at.

Shame as the concept is quite a good one and I kind of expected better of Michael Rosen and the other poets involved.
