... To a slimming world group when just discharged form hospital!

The poor child was sitting on the ladys knee with a bright red face and cried the whole time. The lady at one point snapped at the child saying "if you dont shut up we wont be going"!!!!

At the end of group the lady was overheard telling the consultant that dc had burst a blood vessel in ther throat from vomiting! I wonder why this dc was not at home in bed.

This morning my dc has a high temp and has been vomitting....
I cant help but be a little cheesed off.

Why didn't you ask her directly?

"if you dont shut up we wont be going"!!!!

Indicates that she was taking the child out afterwards, possibly for a treat. The childmay have just been playing up because they had to sit still.

Burst blood vessels in the neck sound worse than they are.

Don't know what you are cheesed off about, tbh.

was your child at the slimming world group?

Catsmamma · 14/06/2012 09:02

so what was it that really annoyed you???

the noise the child was making
the fact a child was present
the fact the child was at Slimming World
the fact that your child is coincidentally ill today
her not up to your standards parenting style

Do you know this woman? The child could be a regular at hospital and vomiting could be a symptom of a condition or medication.

You can't link your DC being off colour with this woman's child if you don't know why the child was in hospital.

Yes my child was at the slimming world group as were a few others. I dont have a problem with children being there. This child just looked very unwell and very unhappy. Just made me wonder why she was there and not at home in bed thats all.

What she said, though, indicates that she was taking the child to somewhere for the child's benefit, afterwards, so the 'unhappiness' may have been because the child didn't want to have to go to SW first.

Possibly. I dont know this woman or her circumstances so this is why I asked if I was being unreasonable. Which I guess I probly am.
