Because other boards aren't as busy?

I tend to read the active board mostly unless I have a specific dilemma, which is usually full of AIBU or chat threads

WorraLiberty · 11/06/2012 23:22

YANBU

But you'll find it does cause a few posters to get their Bridget Joneses in a right old knot Grin

ceeveebee · 11/06/2012 23:23

I usually just go to Active Conversations, then maybe check out the few boards I have special interest in. There are a lot of topics with a lot going on if you look. So YABU

MateyM00 · 11/06/2012 23:26

I'm with you... All the juicy bits are in chat and AIBU... maybe that means i shallow?

enimmead · 11/06/2012 23:28

FWR - that's interesting :)

JazzAnnNonMouse · 11/06/2012 23:42

Fwr?

Feminism / Woman's rights.

Lots going on there at the moment.

Krumbum · 11/06/2012 23:48

I go on style and beauty, aibu and feminism.

Fireandashes · 11/06/2012 23:52

I'm much the same, with an occasional lurk in Books and a quick trawl through Baby Names because I like to see what names people are considering for their DCs and to marvel at how rude some people are prepared to be when commenting on name suggestions.

PerimenopausalMyArse · 11/06/2012 23:53

Me too. If I'm wasting even more hours than usual on here I might venture further though Grin

JazzAnnNonMouse · 11/06/2012 23:58

Now going to check out the bitchyness on baby names as reported Grin

What about relationships?! Great place for stories and sage advice, though often a little sad too.

There are loads of threads in AIBU that are more of a WWYD where advice is sought and offered, and not all the Chat threads are light-hearted fun; some are looking for support or a cyber hand to hold. So IMHO it is possible to be a "full member" giving advice and support within those particular sub-forums.

Anyway I've got no kids and I know nowt, so I'll have to be content with being a "half member". Grin

Me, I'm a board whore! I flit through Relationships, Primary Education, Secondary Education, In the News, Politics, Behaviour/Development, AIBU, Chat, Special Needs, Classics when I want a giggle, and there's others I flick through when I have a specific problem.

I just love MN!!

CouthyMow · 12/06/2012 07:44

Forgot about Teenagers and Preteens, and probably lots of others I've used too!

usualsuspect · 12/06/2012 07:45

I just use active convos, I don't always notice what topics the threads are in.

Hmm a lot of chat and aibu are supporty and wwyd

OP posts:
Pagwatch · 12/06/2012 09:01

I just don't use the board that way.
I have active conversations open and click on anything that catches my eye. Half the time I don't notice what section a thread is in.
I have customised my mn though so that topics I really don't care about don't appear.

But do what you like

Petsinmypudenda · 12/06/2012 09:03

I use four boards

Chat
AIBU
baby names (for the lolz)
Christmas

AmazingBouncingFerret · 12/06/2012 09:06

I never notice the sections.

It's why ive sometimes been known to put YABU/YANBU when it's not AIBU. Blush

JazzAnnNonMouse · 12/06/2012 09:16

Maybe I should start using active convos - I always miss stuff!
