While they watch some stupid sodding football match?

It's like a cross between an orgy and a fight in there.

:o

same here too

weaselm4 · 11/06/2012 17:35

DH will be home soon. Then we'll have the 'Daddy's watching sport voice'. Yikes. Just glad the children aren't in bed. Although the rule then is 'You woke them up, you settle them down again'..

OneHandFlapping · 11/06/2012 17:35

I think somone might have scored...

weaselm4 · 11/06/2012 17:37

Oh yes, so they have. I was too busy MNing. Correct priorities, me.

EchoBitch · 11/06/2012 17:37

Football that is. Grin

EchoBitch · 11/06/2012 17:38

DP is watching it with my Mum.

I am not.

peachypips · 11/06/2012 17:38

My OH has come home an hour early to watch it. Have to really twist his arm to come home early for the kids though!

rookiemater · 11/06/2012 17:39

Yes I got a rather unpleasant email about who paid for the TV when I suggested he watch it in the conservatory if he didn't want to be disturbed

Moominsarescary · 11/06/2012 17:39

Who's scored? Dp isn't interested as he's Irish, we had it all yesterday

FioFio · 11/06/2012 17:39

I have just heard a swear word

I presume the other team have scored :o

KurriKurri · 11/06/2012 17:42

DH is being his usual fake Englishman/Irishman for the purposes of this tournament, he is actually a Scotsman, but as they haven't got a hope in hell of ever getting into any tournaments, he has to switch nationalities Grin

FioFio · 11/06/2012 17:44

I thought the Ireland v CRoatia game was exciting though, they played with passionm. I find England boring

I believe shouting obscenities at the TV can motivate the players (or so it would seem judging from the sounds from upstairs)

MrsVamos · 11/06/2012 17:47

I am sitting here quietly mnetting.

I was screaming at the tv earlier however, when Rafa won his 7th title at Roland Garros. Blush

dancingmummy · 11/06/2012 17:47

Agreed!!! I've retreated to my bedroom.

Cuckoomama · 11/06/2012 17:50

What a shame my OH has had to go to work. Give me half an hour & I'll be watching what I want with a glass of wine and some chocolate!

IShallWearMidnight · 11/06/2012 17:53

poor DH is working till 9ish tonight, so is missing it Grin. He has watched just about every minute of coverage so far though, even disappearing off while we were on holiday as "it's a bit hot just now, i'll pop up to the room with my book for a while" Hmm. Bloody football, as well as cricket, AND the sodding olympics, means he'll never get any work done this summer.

Bubbless · 11/06/2012 17:53

i sent my DP down the pub with £5 for a beer with his mates
lovley quiet house, a nice Brew and a Biscuit for me!

GrahamTribe · 11/06/2012 18:17

Sorry? What was that? I was shouting the football, I didn't catch what you said. Grin

Bubbless · 11/06/2012 18:19

i LOVE that a man has joined this thread... assume graham is a man Hmm

goingeversoslowlymad · 11/06/2012 18:31

Lol DH has just come in and was so pissed off to find the DC's engrossed in their programmes so has bribed them with chocolate asked them nicely and is now ensconced in front of the TV, beer in hand, making abit of a racket!

loopyluna · 11/06/2012 19:16

Yanbu. I wish mine would too.
My DH is French. And utterly obsessed with football. DS supports England just to wind him up.

And when this whole nightmare is over, the Tour de France will be on.
Give me stength!

goingeversoslowlymad · 11/06/2012 19:20

Ah crap no! How could I forget the Tour de bloody France! Very long summer in this house.

HoneyDragonWearingLederhosen · 11/06/2012 19:23

My dearly departed dog would leave the room when she heard either the match of the Day or sky sports theme tune (and World in Union).
