Grin but he is !

He has two beautiful little teeth and the biggest smile, a real wide mouth-open one. He makes the best noises: today is 'bvvv' Smile

He is only 5.5 months but has been rolling over since he was 4 months old and is an expert now. He is the wriggliest, most energetic baby. He sleeps 12 hours at night and has the best morning smiles.

We started food this week and he is so focused and intent on the broccoli floret, sifting his fingers through like he's examining it before shoving the whole thing in his mouth with appreciative noises.

AIBU? Grin Wine

YANBU Smile

MammaTJ · 08/06/2012 22:57

Not at all BU!! I was told when my perfect angelic child was but a few months old (she is now 17 years old), that there is only one perfect baby in the world and every mother has it!!

MsVestibule · 08/06/2012 23:00

You can state it all you like, love, but you're quite wrong Hmm. Mine are the best babies on the planet. (OK, they're 5 & 3 now, but they'll always be my babies.)

2shoes · 08/06/2012 23:01

yanbu

thanks for making me smile

QuickQuickSloe · 08/06/2012 23:02

Yanbu

My 10 month old DS is the best baby on my planet Smile

Mishy1234 · 08/06/2012 23:03

YANBU, he sounds gorgeous!

iago · 08/06/2012 23:07

PLEASE do not think your perfect little babies stay the same aged 11 plus and defend them against all odds, or even some of them!! (ex teacher)

AgentZigzag · 08/06/2012 23:10

I will/do iago.

If you can't trust your mum to defend you against all the odds, who can you trust?

WorraLiberty · 08/06/2012 23:10

I hate to piss on your parade...but that ^ is exactly how he's going to eat when he's a teenager too.

Enjoy it now because it won't be cute when he's munching on bacon sarnies to try and cure his hangover Grin Wink

Iago I'm a teacher and know that DS will be the perfect bright, cheeky but kind and polite child you love Smile

And Worra he is like a grumpy teenager in the mornings when I have to wake him after his marathon snoozes - he's all morningface and confusion until he realises that yay it's another day!

I knew I wasn't BU Smile

Yanbu! He definitely is.

Thing3 · 08/06/2012 23:24

Watch out! My DD3 was rolling over by 4 months and now at 22 months has NO fear at all! She scares me on a daily basis!

peanutbutter38 · 08/06/2012 23:39

our 6 month old dd is the best baby in the world!!
She never ever cries (well rarely) and sleeps 12 hours at night.
During the day she chuckles, coos, laughs and plays on her mat, chair and playnest with no crying, whingeing or complaining. Ever.
She's never cried on a car journey, even a 4 hour one.
She's awake for most of the day (only has a brief 1 hr nap) but is content and alert the rest of the time.
She has the biggest blue eyes I've ever seen.
And I have two other dd's. The eldest was laid back (but nothing like dd3) and middle dd cried all night and all day and was very full-on. So I do know what it's like to have a permanently crying baby. Very very stressful.

LuvileeJubilee · 08/06/2012 23:42

peanut your baby sounds quite nice but obviously not as good as my DS. For example: can she poo on demand in the bath or when listening to Classic FM?

As I tell my son, no one is perfect, but I love him more than I love anyone else in the world not because he's perfect but because he is my son. Everybody has faults, even our dcs, but it doesn't mean we love them any less.

Lucie but my son's faults are the best ones in the world .

He makes the loveliest grumpy noises ATM. Like a grumpy teenager again, kind of whining but goes really deep it makes me laugh when he's grumping. And his eyes are a bit squinty and that makes him so beautiful, I know a girl will fall in love with those eyes one day Smile

Aaaw that bought a little tear to my eye. My little baby who is 5 months tomorrow can't roll around yet and doesn't have any teeth but he can rock himself when he's in his car seat. He has Sussed when to move his legs to make it rock faster and steeper. He's a lazy little thing at the top half but has strong legs! Yanbu, my DS really is the best baby on thr planet!!! Wink

peanutbutter38 · 09/06/2012 00:01

she can't poo on demand, but she can imitate the doorbell and police car noises! And she can giggle at anything and everything. And always does the loudest farts in quiet public spaces. Like the doctors waiting room!

Aawwwww, too cute!, he sounds AMAZING! Smile x

ShakeWhatYourMamaGaveYou · 12/06/2012 08:53

Awwwww so cute!! He does sound like an amazing baby :) Well my 4 month old ds is currently running rings around us at night with many, many wakings... Exhausted! So not so good there!
But... He makes up for it by having the most beautiful big eyes and gorgeous smile in the entire world. He makes lovely little cooing noises, gets excited and kicks his fat little legs everytime he sees me and actually gives cuddles!!!! Really, he does- arms round my neck and everything. Love him to bits. :)
