She's 2. She doesn't know it's there and I keep forgetting to give her any. She so rarely has chocolate it keeps getting overlooked.

But I've just spotted it and I can hear it, softly calling out to me. I'll only have a little bit... and I'll give her some tomorrow...

YANBU, eat the lot. I took all of 2yo DS's Easter eggs to an Easter egg hunt this year so he didn't get any! He neither noticed nor cared. DH was distraught though as he had been planning on eating them!

I think it is your duty as a parent to save her from all that unhealthy chocolate. You should sacrifice yourself, and eat it so she doesn't have to Grin

Me and DH have a difference of opinion. He thinks it's really out of order to eat the little girl's easter egg and that you should give it to her. Were this my daughter it wouldn't even be a question, that chocolate would be long gone by now Grin She's just going to get confused if you start giving her easter eggs in June, the kindest thing you can possibly do for her is to eat it Wink

God yes! I wish my DC still had some left!

I knew you'd see it from my perspective Grin

Chocolate button anyone?

Me! Me!

Since she's 2, go ahead. My DC, OTOH, are 5 and 9 and know exactly how much bloody Easter chocolate they still have hoarded and it is driving me nuts - not (most of the time) because I want to eat it, but because it is clutter and it should be gone by now.

LucieMay · 07/06/2012 23:19

Cor, I'd have eaten it weeks ago! You are a paragon of patience!

pollywollydoodle · 07/06/2012 23:24

when i was little my mum used to eat the back half of my eggs and then wrap foil around the other half and pretend that that was how they came....your way is much kinder!

runningforthebusinheels · 07/06/2012 23:29

YA-so-NBU. I have scoffed my children's easter eggs many a time. Whilst feeling pious that I'm not giving them too much sugar Grin

Lol @ your mum Polly! That is pretty ingenious! Sadly DS knows how much of a chocolate glutton I am and he actually offered me some of his easter eggs that he couldn't finish, bless him!
