Iam being inordinately slow and have only just realised gruff/troll connection. What else am I missing?

confusedpixie · 06/06/2012 12:24

Oh! I never got that either Blush Thanks for the clarification Grin

Incaminka · 06/06/2012 12:27

I don't understand about the biscuit, is it to keep someone quiet while it is in their mouth?

OP posts:
BaronessBomburst · 06/06/2012 12:30

No, that's not why you get a goat. I'll find you a link.......

LolaThePregnantFlyola · 06/06/2012 12:30

i think of it along the lines of ''that takes the biscuit''

LolaThePregnantFlyola · 06/06/2012 12:31

the goat was about presents of oxfam goats if i recall?

FreeBirdsFlying · 06/06/2012 12:31

Biscuit is like no comment but do calm down dear.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 06/06/2012 12:31

I have no idea what the goat is all about either

usualsuspect · 06/06/2012 12:32

It's got nothing to do with trolls, its from a thread where the Op said benefit claimants get my goat

Although I did miss the original thread and only saw the aftermath Grin

Incaminka · 06/06/2012 12:36

Oh, so goats are only relevant to benefit hating trolls, and ordinary trolls get biscuits?

OP posts:
nickelbarapasaurus · 06/06/2012 12:37

no, prime ministers get biscuits

FreeBirdsFlying · 06/06/2012 12:37

I love how people lump all benefit claiments together, when what they really mean is ''this person,or family really annoy me cause they have x,y,z and claim benefits, and I work and don't have as much money,so they should cut their benefits so they have to buy everything cheap just to survive, and have to make their own clothes'' but I suppose its a very long thread title.

BaronessBomburst · 06/06/2012 12:38

I found a thread - still trying to work out how to link it........ It's to do with the poor in Africa getting Oxfam goats. And what usualsuspect said, and in the way that only MN can, it all got mixed up...... Grin

No, families on benefits get goats, and anyone can be given a biscuit. Trolls should get reported.

Incaminka · 06/06/2012 12:43

:) trip-trap! It is interesting to see where MN traditions come from, though.

FreeBirdsFlying · 06/06/2012 12:44

I still don't understand pom bears or fruit shoots though.

usualsuspect · 06/06/2012 12:45

Pom bears is from a not very funny thread about a dinner party, its in classics I think

nickelbarapasaurus · 06/06/2012 12:46

pom bears are for posh dinner parties, fruit shoots are for never , just never

FreeBirdsFlying · 06/06/2012 12:50

Oh must have a look in there.

BaronessBomburst · 06/06/2012 12:50

Can anyone tell me how to copy and paste on an Apple? I've printed the link a few times....... Blush

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 06/06/2012 12:56

I'm sure I've seen goats on non-benefits threads? I assumed it was a not very subtle way of calling troll as well.

LynetteScavo · 06/06/2012 13:02

The Bear thread is funny.

garlicfanjo · 06/06/2012 13:06

Mumsnet asked PM Gordon Brown what his favourite biscuit is. He couldn't think of it. Hence, biscuit = no answer to that. (Gordon did come back especially to tell us his favourite biscuit!)
