I have 2 kids aged 4 and just 2

I work part time and care for them the other days

I think I am being unreasonable but wanted to check!!
Today I have a day off work and it's the kids nursery day. For the first time in ages I have a day all to myself!!

Dh is competent/v practical daddy so I lucky

I had asked for a lie in today, until say 8am.

He got up at 630 with ds. However he didn't get him ready nor himself, they watched tele. This is quite unusual in the week as whichever one of us gets up week day mornings are a rush for nursery/work etc

He got me up at 7am to get both children dressed and ready whilst he got ready himself!!

I thought this was a bit rude as he could have got ds ready himself. Dd was still asleep and he woke her

He could have (as I would have) got ds ready, then got dd up and got her ready before waking ne closer to 8 to get ready himself??

As a one off, what do you think?

I rarely get to sleep in.

On the upside i do now have a whole day alone!!!

Go back to bed!

Tbh if I had the whole day to myself I'd expect to help dh get the kids ready for nursery , especially if he's going to work

Can you not go back to bed later?! That is sheer luxury. It is a bit tight of him,but to make most of the rest of the day

I would get up, help get the kids ready, go back to bed.

Just a bit miffed as I would have given him another hour and just reversed the order of who gets ready when. Waking me at 8 would have given him ages still (half an hour) to get ready himself.

I am back in bed but won't be able to sleep, still lucky I know. Ds was up for 5 hours on sat night so could do with catching up still from that!!
