AIBU to expect school to

  1. Make half term the same as every other freakin school in the area, they go back tomorrow, after 2 weeks of half term
  2. To make sure everybody gets a letter to explain whats freakin happening. A friend who is an owl like me has just told me non school uniform tomorrow, commando exercises all day. Know all our kids, different classes didn't forget letters.
3 Considering jubilee celebrations have finished not to have freakin jubilee party/ day another non school uniform/ red, white, blue on friday

In all seriousness OP, YANBU.

You really do need to complain.

LadyTeeAndBiscuits · 06/06/2012 06:56

Just say fucking. We're all grown ups. I think.

I would also complain.

Welcome to school life! I am all over the school website a couple of times a week just to make sure I know what is happening. Quite often they don't bother telling parents stuff, just change the diary dates. From what I can gather, most schools are like it. You just need to be communicating with friends to make sure you all know what is going on and haven't missed out on anything.

Are you sure you weren't notified? It's just that I work in a school office and the LA decided we could have an extra day for the jubilee last Friday. We wrote to the parents, put it on the website, had it listed on our weekly newsletter for the last 12 weeks, put up a poster on the notice board and children were reminded by teachers. I still had several parents complaining that they didn't know anything about it.
