Last week colleagues were presented with medals for the Queens Jubilee - however I and one other colleague did not get one. This is because you have to have been serving in this job for 5 years in order to qualify.

I do the same job as everyone else, for the Queen, so why do we have to have done it for 5 years?

AIBU to think we should have all got one?

How many people did get one? If it was loads and just two of you were left out I think that sounds a bit mean!

Could you make yourself one from bottle tops or something and wear it with pride?

i could just buy one on ebay....have to say i think its a poor show to sell them! people are flogging them already - i would have really liked one if id done enough time to get one.

DH has both the golden and diamond jubilee medals. My Dad had the Silver jubilee medal and i asked if he still had it as I thought it would be nice to have the full set to pass on one day, apparently he chucked it out when they moved!

Other person who wasn't in the Forces at that time has it so why should they?

I didn't realise that landof, there were many of us in the forces at the time that didn't get one.
