Sorry, other thread here, slow on responses now and my sister is getting worried. She has a 3 week old kitten that she rescued from a fate of drowning. IT's feeding now but not pooed, she's rubbing its bum with a cloth as suggested by the vet but nothing yet Does anyone know when she should be getting worried? Or any more suggestions? Thanks :)

Mother cats stimulate excretion by licking after feeding. Damp cloth sounds preferable... Hope it works out.

Loopy, just replied on your other thread - sorry for delay, took me a while to locate the book with the links.

and it's not just the anus area, but lower abdomen, iirc...

I had to do this with a rescue kitten and used damp cotton wool.

I found rubbing in circles beside the base of the tail worked well. Good luck :)
