Nothing to do with the tanned, muscled young men in tight red swim shorts outside, oh no no no.
No.
Because its dark and hot inside. Yes. That's why.

It's so bloody dark in those shops and you have to unfold everything.

YANBU Grin

Sparklingbunting · 02/06/2012 18:12

YANBU. Horrid place. It's dark so you can't see the rip off prices.

fridayfreedom · 02/06/2012 18:13

and it smells!!

RepublicaEuphemia · 02/06/2012 18:13

I'd be too intimidated to go in! I would feel so obviously Someone's Mum and an Old Git!

SoupDragon · 02/06/2012 18:15

I may have to walk past again in a moment.

Ahem

I take it you are on a fun shopping expedition. Grin Bought anything nice yet?

LittleLolly · 02/06/2012 18:20

Too dark, too noisy, too smelly. And the people who work there are far too friendly!!

ChaoticismyLife · 02/06/2012 18:20

Well he got a third of the way there Grin You just have to train him up to add the other two next time.

thebody · 02/06/2012 18:22

I like the smell but it's ridiculously dark. I am old though.

MyRoyalLentillyness · 02/06/2012 18:38

Are people like us even allowed in Hollister? I heard they have sensors at the entrance that detect us and transmit ultra high frequency waves that make our heads blow clean off.

ToryLovell · 02/06/2012 18:40

YANBU at all, have you got a camera though?

SoupDragon · 02/06/2012 18:44

On a scale of 1-10, how wrong would it be to ask if I could blow their whistle?

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 02/06/2012 18:45

There are more at Gilly Hicks! Blue shorts though.

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 02/06/2012 18:47

Of course I had a camera.

And I had to show I had a teen boy with me before I was allowed in.

I am scared of Hollister, Abercrombie, All Saints and Ted Baker, just by looking at them. Dreading the DCs becoming teenagers!

Mrsjay · 02/06/2012 19:38

I love hollister threads it really is for the young shop Grin

SoupDragon · 02/06/2012 20:12

Oh, I thought there was plenty for mothers too.

I took their photo, to have as my screensaver send to 13 year old god daughter Grin

Twas less than good though in December when i stood on a be-flip-flopped young chaps foot whilst wearing biker boots myself. I had left the head torch at home that day!

howhardcanthisbe · 02/06/2012 20:41

My DF thought he'd like it so went in. He's nearly 60 and had bad eyesight. Proceeded to fall down the stairs and whack his head. He got a £75 gift card which DH has been delighted to spend for him!

SoupDragon · 02/06/2012 20:43

Jolly well done Soup.

Annunziata · 02/06/2012 21:06

Well that is a sight for sore eyes....

Grin
SoupDragon · 02/06/2012 22:58

There were people posing with them and taking far more blatant photos Smile I was a tad more subtle.

It's occurred to me that all the women staff members were fully clothed. Rather unusual I thought.
