Due to go away today camping one night then onto a hotel.
Last night putting the pram in the car the car key snapped. Thankfully we have a spare. Secondly dh amd I both slept throufh our 6.30 alarm AND dd didnt wake until 8am. Neither of these have happened before. Thirdly my car has needed engine oil for a couple if days so I filled it this morning and we set off, albeit late.
Halfway on our 2.5hr journey I get A Feeling that when I filled the oil I didnt put the cap back on, so I pulled over to check and lo and behold I had forgotten.
There was oil everywhere so I rang Recovery who evetually got out to us. They found a littke garage near our destination who thought they had an oil cap to fit so the plan was to be towed there...get tje cap...powerwash under the bonnet amd wed be on our way.
Garage rang back to say they didnt have the part and other garagea closed for BH wkend so we are now being towed home 
I know I was UR to foeget to put tje oil cap back on and it was very dangerous but is it all added together one strong you should not be going on thia trip message
