Really sorry to do this but am sat up unable to sleep. I have posted on General Health section - Severely abnormal smear - I know there is tonnes of traffic on here and if any kind mumsnetters could have a look at my thread and advise I would be eternally grateful.

Again apologies for highjacking AIBU.

TIA

This must be really worrying for you. What is the plan of action now? Are they going to do another one soon? Have you got an appointment?

Do try not to worry (I know that is easier said than done). My Mum gets abnormal smear tests every time but upon further investigation it's never been anything to worry about.

Stay strong. If there is something wrong then it's probably been caught early because you've been for the smear. It could also be something like pre cancerous cells which can be solved before it turns into anything to worry about. You need to get the ball rolling and get your next appointment sorted asap and insist it's soon for your own peace of mind.
Let us know how you get on. Big hugs.

Link to parno's original thread

I can't offer you any advice parno and I'm sorry about what you're going through. But I've linked your thread for you. Best wishes x

Thank you for replies and not being shouty!

Badnails you are a star for doing the link thing. I am a tad roobash at stuff like that.

Alphabite I will take your reassurances with me and attempt to put it out of my mind for a week at least.

Thanks again.

Have responded on your other thread. Try to relax, but easier said than done. I was in a right state, but it was ok in the end.
