Bearing in mind that two of my CLOSEST friends (i.e friends for 28 years!) have both been on FB today to post various inane status updates and photos, AIBU in thinking they could have remembered my bloody birthday?

It's only on the top of the page every time you log on, and that's assuming that it isn't drummed into their heads after almost 30 years!

Yanbu a text or a message happy birthday would be nice

Hassled · 27/05/2012 20:19

Yes, they should have remembered and that's absolutely and completely shit of them. They'll remember eventually and be mortified.

Happy Birthday!

If you only use Facebook on your phone then you don't see birthdays on the homepage, but that doesn't mean that your friends shouldn't have remembered your birthday.

Happy birthday!

I didn't think about them using FB on the phone only, but I'm still sad.

One friend I'm not massively surprised (the word "useless" doesn't even begin to describe her memory or organisational skills) but the other friend is normally so good about his stuff. In fact, whenever we get together, we normally have a story or two to share about our other friends who cancelled/forgot/were late for something, and we laugh about how anal we are!

Boo.

I'd assume they'd been FBing on their phones too. Maybe change your status thanking everyone for their lovely birthday messages and see if that prompts them to do anything!

numbum did that hours ago! Forgetful friend has left a VM about 20mins ago, so at least she remembered eventually! Reliable friend still to make contact... Sad
