They're 7 and 4 and driving me mad! It's so sunny and they don't have to get up tomorrow but I can't cope anymore!

DH has been at work all day and so far we've dug a pond in the garden, made some crafty nonsense and now we're baking a bannana loaf.

Can i stick them in the bath and then let them down for banana loaf and then bed? It feels so early somehow!

Its 7:30! Mine's already in bed ( he was driving me mad too though).

MissBetsyTrotwood · 26/05/2012 19:30

Mine are almost that age and have been in bed half an hour already! Exhausted though as have been outside most of the day and were walking the dog at 8am this morning!

They sound as though they've had a lovely day. To bed now. Grin

Mine are the same age as yours, the 4 yr old is in the bath now and the 7yr old has been given a 5 min warning.

I want to watch The Killing and have a glass of wine!!

Convert · 26/05/2012 19:33

My baby was in bed at half six, 3 yr old at 7 and 5 yr old is just about to go. I want a nice cold glass of something very alcoholic and the tv to myself. Get them to bed!

scuzy · 26/05/2012 19:35

i have ONE 3yr old and be lucky to get him asleep by 9pm. sooo jealous of you all.

TidyDancer · 26/05/2012 19:36

Go for it! :)

RedHotPokers · 26/05/2012 19:38

My 3yo and 5yo have been in bed for nearly half an hour.

Iggly · 26/05/2012 19:38

Yes bed! This is what black out blinds are for.

ChippingInNeedsCoffee · 26/05/2012 19:38

You are baking? In this heat? At the end of a busy day? You are nucking futs!!

If they were mine they'd be in bed by now!

MyCatIsAStupidBastard · 26/05/2012 19:40

Good lord no, put them to bed if you want to. Wont do them any harm and will save your sanity.

My 3 yr old DS is in bed and 6yr old DD is going up at 8:00 (usually 7:30 but she loves the Voice).

Do it!

Springforward · 26/05/2012 19:42

My 3 year old had just gone to bed. He's been running round like a mad thing, and has gone off really nicely, bless him.

I told him that we're going to the park on bikes tomorrow and that he's need a big sleep to be ready, and he's really happy!

He gets up about 6am though, so I don't feel mean for having an early bedtime.

stopthinkingsomuch · 26/05/2012 20:00

I've got 7,6,3 and don't expect them in bed until 8ish. If mine would be ready now I'd put them up but they are happy, awake and I'm feeling ok with it. Other nights it can be different. Go with the night it feels and stick them down

valiumredhead · 26/05/2012 20:01

I have a houseful of boys as it is ds's birthday sleepover - they are watching a film then will go up at 9 to read/chat/piss about Grin

stopthinkingsomuch · 26/05/2012 20:02

Ps mine are generally up at 7 although as the term goes on and they get overtired it gets earlier but bringing forward time makes no difference. It will be a break from school that is needed!

Seona1973 · 26/05/2012 20:56

ds (5) has not long been put to bed. dd(8) will go up in about 5 minutes or so.

openerofjars · 26/05/2012 21:00

Cn I just say that MyCatIsAStupidBastard is a sodding brilliant username?

My 3yo only just went to bed half an hour ago, but he was in the bath for about 45 minutes.
