Am I the equivalent of a summertime Scrooge?! Probably doesn't help that I'm pregnant, but I don't want to get too hot, and don't want sunburn or heatstroke! And I have nothing suitable to wear in this heat! Roll on winter Wink

YANBU as long as you come round my house to pack up my things and let me enjoy the sunshine Wink. It's cool and pleasant in here, I promise!

Agree with Debeez - YANBU if you come to my nice cool housr and look after my baby DS whilst I lie in the sun drinking wine :)

But really, YANBU given you are pregnant

MrsHelsBels74 · 26/05/2012 15:12

Each to their own, my husband hates it too. Even though I'm pregnant & really way too hot, the sun puts me in such a good mood compared to the rain.

insanityscratching · 26/05/2012 15:14

I dislike the sun always have so I always hide indoors with the blinds shut when the sun is out. I'm perfectly happy though and don't complain or draw attention to the fact despite dh and dc accusing me of being a vampire. I was just the same as a child too.

Softlysoftly · 26/05/2012 15:16

Yanbu I'm 39 weeks and feel like a sweat mountain! I love the sun, like that dd can be neglected play in her paddling pool, but a nice cool breeze wouldn't go amiss!

SimplySoo · 26/05/2012 15:17

Ha, I'd love to take up your offers of a cool house! The sun is about to start pouring in the windows at the front of my flat, making it feel like a greenhouse! Admittedly in some ways summer makes me cheery but I'd take me a sunny winter day over this every time.plus so many people put there are sunburnt/wearing too little, blimey.

It's never the buff men who decide to take off their shirts is it :(

BarefootShirl · 26/05/2012 15:24

YANBU provided you come round to mine and do all the chores that I should be doing whilst I'm actually keeping a responsible eye on DCs in paddling pool lying here in the sun Smile.

Seriously, I'll let you off since your pregnant Grin

IslaValargeone · 26/05/2012 15:26

I'm much like insanityscratching.

YANBU. I LOVE this weather but cannot sit in it, you'll find me in the shade, under swathes of muslin and strawhats with my feet in cold water, surrounded by citronella. I'm not pregnant either.

I'm perfectly happy, I just burn/get heatstroke very easily. I don't like the feeling of cooking.

I do love the sunshine though, and its a lovely excuse to do as little as possible.

Deadsouls · 26/05/2012 15:48

YANBU - I avoid the sun - factor 50 all the way and shade, but it's because I'm vain and thinking about the wrinkles...
