My BIL used to pin his wife down on the bed and bite hers off if he ran put of his own....!!

What he does now is carve a little dent in the edge of my nail and then manually pull it off, a bit at a time. And I have quite thick nails so it takes a bit of effort. And it can bend the nail while he's doing it which feels unpleasant!

It seems like he genuinely can't help it, or doesn't even realise what he's doing sometimes!

Dh doesn't go as far as pulling my finger nails off, but he does sort of scrape his fingers against my nail, it hurts and feels like he's going to pull the nail from the nail bed. The worst thing is that ds does it too AND all of the 4 children that I support at school. No idea why they all like doing it!

I don't think it's disgusting as such, not like pus at least, nails are just hard, solid things and I'm clean so they aren't all dirty and yellow...

I still find it bizarre but he seems incapable of stopping. Have had to adapt a new technique of curling my toes under my foot and sitting in a particular position to hide them from him!

Can't you offer him something more interesting to nibble?
