Feet photos

AIBU to not understand the whole feet in the foreground of a photo of the beach/sea/pool/park/woods?

What is the idea behind this? Does the photographer honestly believe that a photo of a beautiful scene is enhanced by blocking half of it with their naked feet?!

I have no idea but its the same for those who take pictures of their fingers in a star shape

Haven't come across any star fingers yet. Although I wouldn't mind that as much. Close ups of feet? And rarely pretty feet?

To avoid having an album full of boring landscapes. It adds a bit of human interest.

What's wrong with the traditional approach (i.e. a face) for adding human interest?
