Dh and I going awway for 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast as a treat for my birthday. First time we have ever done this as dc only just old enough to be left with grandparents.

Really looking forward to it but i have come down with horrible cough, sore throat and headache. Feel crap and dont really want to sit in a restuarant coughing, sneezing etc whilst others trying to enjoy their meal.

AIBU to think that we could have dinner in our room? Should i ring and ask if they do room service? Dont want to spoil the weekend. Sad

Yes, why not? Hope you feel better soon :)

No reason why not i suppose. Been so long since we had a break at a hotel i am out of touch. Hoping my cough makes a sharp exit. Smile

Dose yourself up on cold and flu drugs, I find they work quite well. Enough to let you function as normal when it's just a cold.

The hotel probably will do room service if it's the type of hotel you would book for a two night birthday treat and not a premier inn.

Oh, poor you! Ask, they can only say no. And if not, can your DH go out and fetch a bottle of something nice and some snacks?

Yes ask room service is lovely-you can have dinner in bed on a tray and you and your dh can drink lots of wine then you can collapse into a healing sleep while he strokes your feet and watches the footie :-)
