AIBU to shove dps clothes which I don't like to the bottom of the washing basket and never get round to washing them?

If you'd be perfectly happy for him to dictate what you could/n't wear then no, of course you are NBU.

IShallWearMidnight · 21/05/2012 14:09

I do this, also hang the top I hate the most (honestly, it's ripped, faded and too small) on a radiator out of the way where it doesn't get seen. Two months and 13 days so far. It may go out to recycling in a few more weeks - he hasn't asked where it is, so obviously he does't miss it Wink.

SugarBatty · 21/05/2012 14:13

Yes to the not noticing, he hasn't asked after them to be fair.

They are often the scruffy ill fitting things.

He also last time I checked had a pair of hands!

LOL-I've just hidden 3 T-shirts of my DH that I hate!! I bet he will never ever notice...

SugarBatty · 21/05/2012 14:26

He just never throws clothes out! 3 years in and there is still socks from when we were 'dating'

I sometimes wear his horrible t shirts for bed and then rehouse them in my pyjama drawer.

my dh had a bright purple t shirt covered in skulls it was awful, that somehow got lost in the wardrobe. I tend to turn a blind eye to his "taste" its up to him afterall but the purple skull t shirt was just too far...
oddly he has never asked where it is its as though he just thinks its disintergrated.

Shutupanddrive · 21/05/2012 14:33

YANBU, I once threw one of dp's t-shirts in the fire!

SugarBatty · 21/05/2012 14:41

Shutupanddrive that's given me motivation to get our chimney sorted out. Grin

YANBU

My DH has some horrible clothes, truly awful don't we all? but I do have the sense to relegate mine to the bin myself

He has them because he hates shopping, so I go buy them instead and just tell him gently suggest which ones should be binned.

Booboostoo · 21/05/2012 15:31

I love this thread!!! DP still has a jumper I bought him when we were 15/16 years old (we are 39/40 now!). Until recently he held onto a t-shirt from our teens as well. I eventually managed to convince him to throw it away, but I secretly kept, had it framed and gave it back to him for his birthday! Grin

Pandemoniaa · 21/05/2012 15:43

I casually mentioned that DP might consider sorting his wardrobe out last week given that it resembles an Ancient Clothes Rail of Horror. His reaction to this reasonable proposal was on a par with an imminent appointment at the vet to be surgically castrated.

So I'll be doing the job for him. Which will teach him to lose that fucking awful Mickey Mouse in Moscow T-shirt.

SugarBatty · 21/05/2012 15:58

Aaahhhh booboo! That's lovely! Smile
