The following message has just appeared on a local freecycle network. AIBU to think this is racist and should eb removed by the moderators?
"I would like to place a warning on the Freecycle sites, as so many of us now
keep Chickens etc. Last week, a very distressing incident took place, my
enclosure was broken into and all my ducks slaughtered. The perpetrator was a Polish Migrant Worker and the Police say that this is happening a lot now.
I would therefore like to warn other people, to secure your enclosures and keep an eye on all ouside animals, as it seems we need to guard against more than just the fox.
The Police advise securing runs and if possible take all animals in at night, so
please, to save yourselves the distress I have been through, be extra vigilant."
Why is relevant that the "perpetrator" is a) Polish and b) a migrant worker. Surely neither piece of information is relevant and wouldn't be given out by the police anyway.
I can't find any group link to report to moderators or delete. My only options are to mail the person who posted it to complain or put a message reply available to the whole site.
WIBU to do either?
