NicNocJnr · 19/05/2012 23:12

Have you been sabotaged op?

Otherwise yabu as I agree with Groovee.

WorraLiberty · 19/05/2012 23:12

Well no you're right

That's like preparing to prepare something in preparation

GretaGip · 19/05/2012 23:14

{hmm]

Nothing short of an unanimous YANBU would please me tonight.

If you fail to pre-prepare, are you pre-prepared to fail?

HOMEMADECHUTNEY · 19/05/2012 23:17

Well I suppose it's easier to say than 'prepare in advance', or is that a no-no also?

Language does evolve you know. The rules we learned at school don't automatically apply nowadays.

And there's always Pedants' Corner for these matters Smile.

GretaGip · 19/05/2012 23:18

I am nto allowed in Pedants' Corner.

I'm only shouty because bloody Ds1 left the caps lock on as I was selecting my nn Grin.

You sound like someone I'd get on with Op

GretaGip · 19/05/2012 23:29

YANBU.

And I give you 'pre-book'. Nooooooooo people, not 'prebook', just 'book' - perfectly good word.

Totally down with you Greta

HOMEMADECHUTNEY · 19/05/2012 23:33

Ahem, I think you meant 4eva.

ShoutyChutney doesn't sit easily with me I'm afraid.

And you're not the boss of me either, so there.

GretaGip · 19/05/2012 23:34

But my dad's bigga than your dad.

HOMEMADECHUTNEY · 19/05/2012 23:36

Well my dad's a policeman, and he could arrest your dad and throw him in jail for being too big, so there,

LineRunner · 19/05/2012 23:37

You are now pre-warned.

NicNocJnr · 19/05/2012 23:38

Hahaa...God, all point and laugh at the spanner that didn't fully get it!
I saw jumbled 'anything' and also had my filter switched off as the internet would cause my head to explode if I actually paid attention to grammar.

Apologies OP...may my overuse of elipsies give you reason to overlook my YABU in rage!

May I offer an Irregardless?

Lougle · 19/05/2012 23:39

YABU

Take shepherds pie as an example.

You prepare mashed potatoes to go on top of the meat.

You can pre-prepare the potato that will be cooked to form the mashed potatoes.

So....pre-preparation.

OP posts:
HOMEMADECHUTNEY · 19/05/2012 23:42

I've just split an infinity - does anyone care anymore?

GretaGip · 19/05/2012 23:45
