My ds has autism the peadatrician is doing more assessment which has been going on for 4 years now. I have not been given any info so am blind about it.

His behaviour is getting out of my depth now and I can't cope no longer. After being dry for 6 months in the night he has gone back to wetting the bed.

I am knackered and so stressed out ATM.

Please tell me it gets better once a full diagnoses has been made ( when ever that will be)

I don't see what difference a diagnosis would make. If he's autistic then he's autistic. There is a whole host of info out there about autism, I'm not sure what you have been waiting 4 years for.

From the start till now, the doctor said 100% he has austism but more assessment to see on what scale he has it.

I have tried google but gets conflicting advice.

Nothing will cure it I know that, just had a really bad day combined with lack of sleep mean I am most probably been over reacting

Try the National Autistic Society website.

They are a very good source of information and support.

They can help with diagnosis as well I think. Hope it helps.

Pop on over to the special needs children board, they are a friendly lot and a bottomless well of support and information.

Nanny0gg · 17/05/2012 19:48

And look on the Special Needs forum on here.
Huge wealth of support and advice.

It is really difficult. Hopefully with the right help, you'll find it easier.
